A Charmed Life
When we’re searching for the perfect summer bag that completes every holiday outfit and sunny day ensemble, we often don’t consider the finer points. But here at madebywave we simply adore the details, which is why we have such an extensive collection of charms.
What began as a handful of designs has grown up into a big collection that takes in all manner of styles, colours and themes to offer something for everyone. If you like ocean-themed styles we have the seahorse, the coral and the bestselling starfish in many different colourways. You can get fruity with our delicious papaya and dragon fruit designs, embrace the summer with the delicious ice cream cone charms or take it back to basics with a tassel or stick charm in every colour of the rainbow.
Authenticity in Colour
When madebywave was founded, it was to celebrate living an authentic life in colour and the charm collection celebrates this in all its glory. It also allows every person to adapt their bags to fit their own unique style or try something new without going too left-field.
The trend for charms is showing no signs of abating. We love how they give that instant holiday feeling and really work to enhance the features of your clothing and other accessories. As a versatile and super-easy trend to pull off for even the most low-maintenance fashionista, it's no surprise that many people find the charms that they love and reuse them year after year and season after season to elevate their style. Matchy Matchy
There are so many different ways to play with charms and matching up colours is a beautiful way to do so. Wearing complementary colours with your clothes and/or accessories is a great look, so long as you do it right.
We love this combo of sunshine yellow hues with the Barbados Beach Bag adorned with the yellow Barbados tassel and the tasty pineapple charm.

A Bit of Contrast
At the other end of the scale, we love changing things up with a bit of a clash and a contrasting look can be a great way to show off your outfit details. You can see an example of this style in all its glory thanks to Olya Mareva who styled our Daisy Bag with the matching soft and pretty daisy charm. She added the ladybird charm in bright red with striking black detail for a wonderful lesson of contrasts.
A look of contrasts works just as well with colours as it does with patterns and prints. Don't be afraid to experiment with your style - the summertime and the beach especially are the perfect opportunity to try something new and your chosen charms will be the icing on the cake.
